What I Teach
Subjects & specialisms
Tailored sessions for primary and lower secondary students, covering core curriculum subjects and English language support for international families.
English Language & Literacy
Reading comprehension, creative writing, grammar and vocabulary. Building confident communicators from an early age.
Mathematics
Number sense, operations, problem-solving and early algebra. I make maths approachable and logical for every learner.
Science
Primary and lower secondary science — biology, basic chemistry and physics concepts made hands-on and memorable.
ESL — English as a Second Language
Specialist support for non-native English speaking students. Conversational fluency, academic vocabulary and confidence in the classroom. Ideal for expat families and international school students.
Exam Preparation & Study Skills
Targeted revision and technique-building for school assessments, entrance exams and standardised tests. I teach students how to study effectively, manage time in exams and approach questions strategically.
My Teaching Philosophy
How I teach — and why it works
Every child is different. My approach adapts to the individual learner's pace, strengths and gaps — always within a warm, encouraging structure.
Understand First
Before teaching, I listen. I assess where the student genuinely is — not where the curriculum assumes they are. Real progress starts with an honest baseline.
Structured Progress
Lessons follow a clear arc: review, new concept, guided practice, independent application. This builds true understanding, not just short-term memorisation.
Warm & Encouraging
Children learn best when they feel safe to make mistakes. I create a low-pressure, high-expectation environment where every small win is celebrated.
You Stay Informed
Parents receive a brief update after each session — what was covered, what clicked, what we'll focus on next. No guesswork, full transparency.
